VBL Sports are the new holders of the Worcester Nursing Saturday Junior Cup after a 4-2 win against Worcester Raiders at St Georges Lane last night.

VBL took an early lead when Ollie Dyde converted from the penalty spot before Ben Harbourne brought the scores level. Devon Smith was proving a handful for the Raiders defence and he gave VBL the lead again. Paul Bennett added a third as VBL took control with their greater experience. When the lively Smith made it 4-1 it looked all over but Raiders came again and Jack Davies reduced the deficit. However VBL held on and at last claimed a trophy after being the bridesmaids far too often in the last season or so.
