Wenborn seals win for WMC

Simon Wenborn was the difference between the two teams on a day when a hard and dusty surface did not make for a flowing game. His strike, beyond the despairing dive of Chris Sims in the Liberty goal was a rare occasion when a shot or header was on target, but nothing was wrong with his aim on this occasion. Although they had a chance to sew it up late on, there were one or two half-chances for Liberty to seek out a trophy for the second successive year.

This was third-time lucky for WMC as their previous two appearances had ended in bitter disappointment following narrow losses. Today they put the record straight.
