FA YOUTH CUP
Congratulations go to both Heather St Johns’ Development and Aylestone Park on their progression to the next round, and commiserations to Blaby & Whetstone and Harborough Town on their exit from the competition.
Blaby travelled to face Buxton and were defeated 3-0.
Harborough were also on their travels as they travelled to take on Grantham Town but were defeated 4-2 despite Finn Fielding bagging a brace.
Heather had home advantage as they entertained Lincoln United and were took the full distance as they eventually went through 3-1 after extra time after being held 1-1 after 90 minutes. Daniel Harrington, Jack Dilks and Andreas Articolo being the scorers. They now face fellow League side Anstey Nomads.
A lone Sam Robinson strike was enough to see Aylestone Park through as they defeated Hinckley AFC, 1-0. They now have a trip to the sea side to take on Cleethorpes Town.
NORTHERN DIVISION
Allexton & New Parks had a 4-2 home victory over Gresley with Guillaume Preston, Aeran Johnson, James Pidcock and Jay Broome all scoring with Harry Heartfield and Jake McIntosh replying for Gresley.
Coalville Town Ravens hosted local rivals Bardon Hill and it was the latter who gained the points in a 3-0 victory thanks to goals from Maxwell Tompkins, Kyle Jardine and Jack Hession.
SOUTHERN DIVISION
Leicester Nirvana had a 5-1 home victory over Saffron Dynamo with Deen Master (3), Theo Baker and Shad Ali scoring. Saffrons’ reply coming from Charlie Monk.
Goals from Jamie Ward (2), Charlie Yates and Harrison Vincent saw Lutterworth Athletic to a 4-2 victory over Oadby Owls for whom Bailey Kitchen bagged a brace.
