Warrington go top of League One...
Premier Division
Wythenshawe Town failed to make use of their game in hand over league leaders, Whaley Bridge, after they lost 0-3 to Denton Town at home. This result keeps the home side in second place on 24 points, three behind Bridge and two ahead of Linotype Cheadle who now have three games in hand over the top two.
Rylands defeated Greenalls PSO 2-1 in Warrington as they move level with their opponents on the day, with both sides sitting in lower-mid-table on 14 points. Greenalls do still have a stronger goal difference however (-1) compared to Rylands (-7).
Eagle Sports picked up what was only their second victory of this campaign in a dominate showing away at Garswood United. The away side took all three points in impressive fashion, a 2-6 win. This result does leave Eagle Sports at the foot of the table as they still sit two points behind the next side in the league.
League One
Cheadle Town Reserves and Tarporley Victoria maintain their poor form this week as the both fell victim to defeats. Cheadle lost 3-4 at Park Road to Daten and Victoria lost 1-4 to league leaders, Warrington Town Reserves. The latter result means that the Yellows are seven points clear at the top as of the end of the week.
Lostock Gralam and Billinge FC sit in second and third respectively. This comes after Lostock Gralam defeated FC St Helens 2-4 in an impressive away win and Billinge were unable to beat Golborne Sports in an entertaining 2-2 draw.
West Didsbury & Chorlton Reserves defeated Halebank 3-4 in a close fought tie. The result leaves the visitors in sixth place, whose goals came via Clarke, Igenoza, Gagon and Williams.
League Two
Windle Labour were unable to capitalise on Broadheath not playing this weekend as they drew 2-2 away at Unicorn Athletic. This leaves a gap of just two points between the top two, making League Two the closest in terms of league leaders and challengers.
Cuddington picked up the most goals this weekend with five as they beat Barnton Reserves away from home. The game featured a brace from Richard Bettley as well as goals from Ben Curbishley, Gary Wakefield and Kieran Wakefield.
AFC Denton are still yet to pick up a victory as they lost 2-3 at home to Winstanly Warriors in a result that brings Denton’s goal difference to -60 as they sit at the bottom of the league, as they have done for a number of weeks now.
Sandbach Reserves fell victim to a 0-4 thrashing at home to Maine Road Reserves. The game featured goals from Blundell, Clooney (2) and Hulmeas well as two dismissals, Reid for United and Curzon for Maine Road.
