Team History
The current setup began midway through season 2005/06 as U14s. There was a nucleus of players that had been with the club since U10 days and many of these were still with the squad at the end of last season.

The following season, our first full season together, we were runners-up in the League, League Cup and County Cup.

In 2007/08 as U16s, we went one better and were crowned County League Champions.

In 2008/09 the good progress continued as we won a historic treble, going the whole season unbeaten. We are also proud to have represented Cumberland FA in the Northern Regional Finals of the Tesco Cup at Wythenshawe.

In 2009/10 we made the big step into Women's football, competing in the Cumbria Women's League. We finished in 6th place and were only 1 win away from achieving our pre-season target of a top half finish. We did achieve some success though as runners-up in the League Cup - a fantastic achievement for such a relatively young squad.

In 2010/11 the progress was maintained and we finished runners-up in the League, finishing only two points behind the champions. We were also runners-up in the League Cup for the second year running.

This coming season will be a new era for the team as many of the squad are leaving to go to university. Female players aged 16 & over are eligible to play women’s football so if you are interested in joining a friendly & enthusiastic team with a reputation for playing quality football then please contact eddie.williams@newlaithesfc.co.uk for more details. Players of all abilities are welcome, all we ask is that you have the desire and determination to improve.

Training: We train on Wednesday nights 6pm-8pm at Rickerby Park, Carlisle. During the winter months we train on the 3g Astro at Caldew School, Dalston.
