League accreditation initiative
The Full Time SMS results service allows for up to 2 persons to supply a match result for each team.
They must be identified through the WGS with their mobile number recorded.
Full time identifies each match and the recipients to send to. A text/sms message is sent to each recipient approximately 15 minutes after the start of the game
The recipients and messages are recorded in Full Time so that they can be read by the league administrators, as shown in a typical example below.
The person, telephone number, time and if the message is successfully delivered is recorded.
FA Full-Time Results: ABC v DEF, Sat 12 Mar 15:00. Reply home and away scores in format: H-A ABC eg 3-2 ABC
The League wish to enhance the results service by adding half time scores, scorers, times and attendances onto this facility as an accreditation initiative To supply the score is a mandatory requirement by rule, the enhancement is voluntary to improve the league presentation of result data so that the Full Time web site becomes the focal point of league enquiries.
Using the example above, the SMS recipient attached to the team designated ABC, in this case the home side, replies
3-2spaceABC as a basic minimum requirement.
Note the ABC should only be added if (or a similar 3/4 figure short code) it is present in the original message.
A space is required between each piece of data to separate them.
To enhance the message and get all the information required to the league in one go the message can be extended using the following convention
3-2 ABC Half time score 15scorerA 30scorerB 75scorerC attendance.
Thus we see
3-2 ABC 2-1 15Smith 30Jones 75Another 25
The above reply to the SMS is recorded in full time and kept on record. Nothing else is required
Notes,
Results and scores must always be expressed as home – away.
Full time score must be the first piece of data.
3 or 4 figure short code is only required in answer if expressed in message
15Smith means Smith scored after 15 minutes play
The away side also send in their information
