Twentyten 1 Hampshire Irons 1

The lone goal from Joe Osborne eleven minutes from time saw gave Twentyten win the North Hants May Cup, played at Whitchurch last week.
There has been little to chose between these two sides for the last two seasons, as they finished second and third in the Division Two table last season and this season it has been the same, but this time Twentyten ended up second and Irons third.
Two early chances fell to Irons when in the 4th minute Chris Dobbie shot wide and in the 7th Chris Arnold headed a Jay Greene corner over the bar.
Simon Head did well to cut out a strong attack by Twentyten when Joe Hill looked likely to give his side the lead in the 26th and three minutes following a dangerous corner by Jordon Wainwright, the flick on by Joe Osborne was headed off the line by Robert Mead..
Dobbie was looking dangerous up front and hit a good chance wide in the 31st minute and was unlucky when he met a cross from Mead with a fine header, only for it to smack against the post when keeper Jack Nicholson was stranded.
Twentyten played some good inter passing and just before the break Adam Elesgood forced a sprawling save from Jack Rickard.
Tom Chant had a chance for Irons, but shot high and wide and in the 65th minute they lost Dobbie taken off injured and this brought a double substitution bringing on both Alex Brown and Olly Lacey. It was now however Alan Spacagna’s young Twentyten lads who were now looking the likely scorers and the decider came in the 79th minute.
Jake Tanner broke clear, out rushed Rickard and did well to block his shot, but the alert Joe Osborne had followed up and hammered home the rebound.
A good save by Rickard stopped a header by Osborne making it 2-0 with five to go, but in the 90th Irons really should have forced extra time when a cross from Tom Chant was met by Steve Tickner, but he shot strait at keeper Jack Nicholson.
