DRAYTON TOP OF THE PREMIER LEAGUE ! Drayton went top of the Premier League as Haunchwood Sports, Swan Dive and SS Bulls head all maintain their unbeaten start.

MATCH DAY 5 (September17th 2023) REPORT

DRAYTON TOP OF THE PREMIER LEAGUE !

Drayton went top of the Premier League as Haunchwood Sports, Swan Dive and SS Bulls head all maintain their unbeaten start.

Drayton ran out 2-1 winners over Collycroft Royal Royal Oak Warriors. A Lewis Commins penalty and Jack Boffin strike made sure of the victory in a very close encounter. Daniel Monger replied for Collycroft.

Ridge Lane came from behind to beat Ambleside 3-2 thanks to goals from Toby Bartram, Leo Franklin and Conor McEwan. Josh Bird and Brady Middleton with the Ambleside goals. Griff and Coton Manor were also on the right end of a 3-2 win with goals coming from Ryan Skidmore, Reece Swain and Ben Covill. Landon Fairbrother and George Ford were on target for Bank.

In LEAGUE ONE Haunchwood Sports carried on their 100% start to the season.as they beat Desford-Caterpillar 9-2. 9 goals from 9 different players made sure of the win. Andrew Evans, Oliver Hawker, Dale Morris, Marcus Southwell, Simeon Townsend, Jack Webb, Mark Williams, Callum Fawcett and Connor Nicholson with the goals. Noel Gilbert and Kelvin Day scored for Desford.

Barwell Cricketers kept the pressure on in second place with a 4-3 win over Bedworth Liberal Reserves. 2 from Connor Beasley, Jordan Armstrong and Adam Hearn with the goals. Coniston Tavern found themselves on the right end of a 5-4 thriller. 2 from Keiron Brehon and goals from Ashley Clark, Shane Hunter and Kyle Hunter was enough to see off Royal Trent. 2 from Reece Rawlings, Levi Tindall and Reigan Duffy with the Trent replies.

Ambleside Reserves beat Attleborough Royal Oak 3-0 with Owen Courtman, Brad Steptoe and Lee Wilkins all on target.

Whilst in MARK BLAIR LEAGUE TWO Swan Dive are another club to have won all games so far and a 4-1 win over Crows Nest Sports ensured that continued. Rhys Dainty with a brace and singles from Gareth Jones and William Crowder with the Swan Dive goals. Josh Cooper replied for Crows Nest.

Athletico Duke remain top after a 3-0 win over fellow Hinckley side Phoenix United. Marley Henry, Kaine Finch and Joe Scott on target for the Duke.
Bedworth Ex-Servicemen's comfortably saw off Sunnyside 6-0. Travis Mowe, Harvey Blount, Adam Carter, Dylan Robinson, Harvey Westwood and Scott Williamson with the goals.

A Steven Pywell hat-trick helped Bermuda Park on their way to a 5-1 win over Conny United, Sulav Khadka and Jordan Bates with the singles. Luke Childs scored for Conny United. Saunders Hall beat Ashby Road Sports thanks to a Liam Dean brace and Bradley Lewis goal. Craig Chatburn and Stuart Heathcote scored the Ashby Road goals. Travs were 3-0 up when their game vs Acorn was abandoned just before half time due to a serious injury.

SS Bulls Head are 5 out of 5 at the top of NUNEATON TROPHIES LEAGUE THREE after a 7-1 win over Lamb and Flag, a Jarrod Stone hat-trick, 2 from Josh Atkinson and singles from Kyle Wilson and Ashley Harris getting the job done for Bulls Head. Cory Butler scored the Lamb and Flag consolation.

Weddington Social picked up a 9-2 victory over Attleborough Royal Oak Reserves, 2 a piece for Gareth Orr and Khalfan Bhuring backed up by Sam Brindley, Codie Carpenter, Ewan Davis, Lewis Stowe and Jack Stainton goals sealing the points for the Weddy. Antony Perry scored both replies for The Oak.

Ewan Thay and Perry Tonks were on target for Griff and Coton Manor Reserves but they had to settle for a 2-2 share of the spoils with Attleborough Sports, Joe Wing and Taylor Wallbank scored for Attleborough.

Hinckley Wanderers overcame Anchor Inn Hartshill 6-2 thanks to a Dean Croasdale hat-trick a Jake Hounslea brace and Danny Hounslea single. Matthew Phelps and Sam Callaghan capturing the Anchor goals. Hearty Goodfellow Reserves picked up a 4-2 win over Bedworth Bank Reserves, Charlie Watts scoring 2 and singles from Jack Bates and Kye Wilson. Zak Bhara and Joe Brown finding the net for Bank.

Tom Noon helped himself to all 3 goals as Newdigate United ran out 3-0 winners over Bedworth Liberal Reserves.

On Wednesday 13th September Hinckley Wanderers beat Earl Shilton Town 6-1 with goals coming from braces for Dean Croasdale and Kobi Jones with Jordan Towers adding the single. Casey Simmons scored the Shilton consolation.
