SEASON GETS UNDER WAY !

It was all about the goals with 12 players scoring hat tricks as the 2024/25 NDSFL season got underway on Sunday. Drayton started off their campaign by hitting 15 past newly promoted Coniston Tavern in the ANCHOR INN (HARTSHILL) PREMIER LEAGUE. Jack Bonell scored 5 with hat tricks for Lewis Commins and Jack Booker. Jake Sharp, Jack Boffin, Jack Colley and Alex Rowe completed the scoring as the game ended 15-0.

Witherley United were 3-2 winners over Premier League new boys new boys Hearty Goodfellow. Josh Thompson, Jack Price and Adam Woods were on target for Witherley, Steven Pywell and Kiel Mullen scoring for Hearty.

Haunchwood Sports are off the mark in the Premier League as they held Ambleside to a 1-1 draw. Tom Walker scored for Haunchwood while Leo Franklin was on target for Ambleside.

Badru Rajab scored a hat trick for Griff and Coton Manor as they won 8-0 against Barwell Cricketers. Ryan Skidmore and Cameron Greenhough both scored braces, Isaac McGlaughlin completed the scoring for Griff.

Newly formed Bedworth Poppy's started life in TRIPLE R PAINTWORX LTD LEAGUE ONE with a 3-2 win over Burbage and Huncote. Connor McCallum, Joe-Joe Wilson and Levi Tindall scored the goals to take the points back to Bedworth. Liam O’Rourke scored both the Burbage and Huncote goals.

Ex-Servicemen Bedworth picked up their first point as a League One side as Jamie Matthews was on target for them but it wasn’t enough to secure the win as Liam Dean scored for Drayton Reserves to ensure the points were shared in a 1-1 draw.

There were plenty of goals scored in MARK BLAIR FINANCE LEAGUE TWO, on the opening weekend. 8 of those were scored by Travs as Joe Miles scored a hat trick, Paul Brown 2 and singles from Ethan Looker, Tom Croft and Nick Harrison made sure of an 8-2 win over Hinckley Wanderers. Jamie Roe’s penalty and a Dean Croasdale goal replied for the Hinckley side.

Kyle Crawford scored a hat trick as new boys White Horse Atherstone picked up an opening day win over Red Lion Barwell. Nathan Billington scored 2 and a goal a piece from Daniel Riley with an overhead kick and Chris Dawe ensured them of a 7-4 win. Danny Winterbotham scored a hat trick of his own and Connor McGlynn with the Barwell sides goals.

Substitute Oli Menzies scored the winner with his first touch as Conny United ran out 2-1 winners over Swan Dive. Ben Adams scored the other for Conny. Ashley Guilder was on target for Swan Dive.

Harry Bartram, Toby Bartram and Conor McEwan scored the goals for Royal Oak Hartshill but a hat trick from Tom Noon made sure Newdigate United didn’t leave empty handed as the game finished 3-3.

Chetwynd Chess started life in NUNEATON TROPHIES & AWARDS LEAGUE THREE, with a 4-1 win over Hearty Goodfellow Reserves. Sam Jones netted a hat trick for Chetwynd with the single coming from Joe Smith-Walker. Macaulay Fellows struck the Hearty goal.

Ryan Brightwell’s hat trick was the difference for SS Bulls Head as they ran out 3-0 winners over Acorn.

Another side to win 3-0 was Grendon as goals from Lewis Landers, David Boal and Ion Popa secured the points over Crows Nest Sports.

Zak Bhara scored the only goal of the game as Bedworth Bank picked up an opening day 1-0 win over new side Horseshoes.

Sunnyside and The Wharf Inn shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw. Harry Roper and Adrian Talbot were on the scoresheet for Sunnyside with Dan Trezise and Matt Harridence replying for The Wharf.

Sam Harris was on hand to score a hat trick for Bedworth Eagles as they cruised to an 8-0 win over Griff and Coton Manor Reserves in RICHARD DUNN LEAGUE FOUR. Brandon Dryburgh hit 2 and the singles came from Reegan Powney, Liam Holmes and Kallum Hunter.

Aidan Sanders scored the goal that claimed a 1-0 win for Lord Nelson over Lamb and Flag.
FC Burbage started life in the NDSFL with a point as they drew 2-2 with Attleborough Sports. Jacob Wright scored both for the Burbage side. Taylor Wallbank and Jack Bolestridge replied for Attleborough Sports.

Jacob Bryan scored for Attleborough Royal Oak but it wasn’t enough to claim all 3 points as Reece Smith’s goal made sure Bedworth Liberal left Paul’s Land with a point as the game finished 1-1
