Cheshire FA Sunday Cup
Mixed fortunes in the Cheshire FA Sunday Cup saw Wallasey Wanderers eliminated via a penalty shoot-out against Ruskin Park FC after finishing the fixture 3-3 at full time.
Finnigan FC however eased through to the next round with a 6-0 verdict over Brookvale United due to a hat-trick by Stuart Speed, a brace from Adam Walker and a single from Darren Pritchard.
PLCCFC also progressed following their 2-1 victory at home versus Woodlands FC thanks to single efforts by Dan Hardman and Aaron Cotter.
Despite a solo effort by Callum Morrison, Vineyard were beaten 7-1 by the Fox & Organ FC.
MES Ltd First Division
The only game in the MES Ltd First Division saw Shore Villa move into second place following a good encounter with North West Harriers as they ran out 3-1 winners thanks to goals from Josh Worsley, Harry Mundy and Kev Walker. The lone reply came from Kevin Day.
Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division
A double figure victory for Barnston FC saw them retain top spot in the Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division as they overpowered under strength Bromborough Athletic as both Jay Weir and Ben Ryan bagged doubles and Jamie Mitchell hit a foursome to take the points.
AFC Shore Villa edged in second place after a hard fought 4-3 victory over New Brighton Town that was a credit to the league, as Nathan Saunders scored twice and both Dylan Wilkinson and James Taylor fired a single. Bagging the responses were Ewan Sait, James Carlin and Oscar Pugh.
A goal apiece from Kieran Hughes and Reece Williams enabled AFC Bromborough to secure the points versus Cheshire Vikings in a 2-0 success and maintains their unbeaten start to the season.
A first defeat for Liscard Brazil came against FC Greasby who ran out 5-2 victors in their first success of the campaign with goals from Dylan Sharpe-2, Lewis Seymour, Kieran Davies and Jack Cooper in a great team effort. Jake Williams and Dean Trevitt hit the replies for Liscard.
