Last season Killamarsh Athletic Juniors were desperately unlucky to miss out on the NAPIT ONE title, finishing just a point behind Hasland Devonshire and while Hasland continue to set the pace the season Juniors have experienced a difficult time, struggling at times to even field a full side. This was the case on Sunday as they made the trip to Creswell Black Diamond where they began with just ten men and thirty minutes into the game things got worse as injury saw them reduced to just nine! However they showed great resilience and went ahead on sixty-five minutes through Jack Stanley, Jordan Claxton's leveller denying them an unlikely win. New Whitt are also in trouble, goals from John Harris, Dean Bramley and Adrian Whitmore condemning to a 3-1 defeat at Tibshelf Town which leaves them rooted to the bottom of the division. In stark contrast Renishaw MW are looking good in third place as goals from Ant Lynam, Luke Hatcroft and Jason Tyler secured them a 3-1 win over Eckington Boys, Hopflower Utd beating Clowne Wanderers by the same margin, Daryl Hancock, Reece Nuttall and Mark Vine with the winning goals.
In TWO the top three all won. Leaders AFC Bolsover took on Matlock Wanderers and were made to work hard for the victory as Matt Wilkinson and Steve Wood scored for Wanderers, Gary Hulland, Josh Parfitt and Daley Furnace hitting the target to shade it for the leaders. Second Placed Dronfield Victoria beat Black Swan 3-2 and Woodthorpe Inn in third comfortably won 5-0 at Red Lion Whitt Moor. Grassmoor Sports were on top form as they crushed West End Killamarsh 7-1, Ash Morton hitting four, Lee Naughton two and Rob Holland one. Dronfield Woodhouse started with eight players at Wingerworth BMB before reinforcements arrived and went in to win 3-1.
New Whitt B are five points clear at the top of THREE following a 5-2 victory at Hady Villa, their sixth from six starts. Dan Lock was in inspired form scoring four of the winning goals with Alex Shaw adding goal number five, Lock taking his total to fourteen goals so far this season. At the other end of the table Steelmelters Arms Killamarsh are still winless, strikes from Matt Shiels and Phil Barksby condemning them to a 2-1 defeat at Pilsley. AFC North Wingfield produced a good solid performance to beat Hollingwood Athletic 4-2 thanks to goals from Andy Woolvern, John Smith, Jamie Vardy and Matt Towndrow. AFC Spital and Ark Tavern played out a seven goal thriller which the former won 4-3 Jamie Capuano scoring twice, Mike Edwards and Tom Jenkins once. The other game in the division ended level at 2-2 Brampton Oak Sports and Clowne Wanderers Reserves sharing the spoils.
In FOUR Duckmanton Community recorded a big 8-2 win at the expense of promotion chasing Newbold, Gareth Bally, Steve Johnson and Martin Newman scored two apiece, Mark Reynolds and Sean Gallagher once. Club FC won for the first time, their win coming at Gate Inn North Wingfield, Gary Brooks, Scott Hegarty and Aaron Large with the winning goals. Crown Killamarsh beat Hasland Community 5-1, Scott Whitehouse hitting a treble whilst Chesterfield Arms beat Harleys Scarlets 3-1, Ash Crowther scoring twice, Mark Woods once.
Brimwood Utd have amassed an eight point lead at the top of FIVE after they won 5-3 Royal Oak Rangers, Jack Wynn scoring a couple and are in superb form at the moment. Bottom of the table Travellers Rest Clowne picked up their first point of their NAPIT league career in a 3-3 draw with Barlow Kingston Rovers, Jason Marsh, Matt Marsh and Ross Taylor on target, Pete Stevenson hitting all three BKR goals. Renishaw Rangers took an early lead against Brimington Utd but Brimington came back strongly to win 3-1. Stuart Grainger finished off an excellent move to hand Rangers the lead but Chris Marshall, Alex Howard and Carl Newell's goals won it for Utd. There was very little to choose between New All Inn and opponents Palterton Sporting Club with NWI just shading the game 3-2. Old Whittington MW took on Spartans and beat them 5-3, Ben Moss scoring a ht trick for the winners.
Into SIX and Fidlers Rest are second following a comfortable 6-2 win at Holme Hall 2nd. Joe Palmer and Danny Stokes both scored twice for Fidlers with Lloyd Amissah and Dave Norman scoring once. The derby game between Hasland Community Eagles and Hasland Wanderers had goals aplenty, nine in total as Wanderers shaded it 5-4, Paul Walton and Craig Megyesi both scored twice for the winners. Fellow Hasland side Hasland WMC recoreded a comfortable 4-1 win over Evolution whilst Furnace Hill Hurricanes won 2-1 at Gardeners Clay Cross, Keith Parkes with both goals.
Theres no stopping Brimington Shoes in SEVEN as they put eight goals past opponents Grassmoor Sports Reserves to strengthen their hold on the leadership. Following on close behind are Charlies Clay Cross Athletic who drew 1-1 at Newbold CFT, Andy Brown scoring for CFT, Craig Parker for Charlies. Ye Old Nags Head went into their game against Spartans 2nd looking for their first point and still are after they were beaten 4-1, Sean Cullan giving Spartans a Twenty-fifth minute lead, John Buxton scoring in the fifty-fifth and eightieth minutes, Jason Draper scoring after sixty-five. Darley Dale Red Star beat Brimington Club 3-1 and Renishaw Rangers TFC drew 2-2 with Dronfield Town.
